He’s a living legend. There are only a few musicians in the world that I feel have the right to be famous just because of who they are and what they’ve said. Johnny Cash was one, and unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet him, though I came close.

Dylan is another, and if I do get the chance to meet him, I will try not to be starstruck and will simply tell him that his music has touched me in some of the darkest and brightest moments of my life.

Mr Dylan, if you should ever chance to read this, which is a million to one at best, please accept a simple, sincere, and non-fanatical “thank you.”

He was doing a record signing thing before his “Nearly Human” tour stop in Columbus, OH. He was there with Michelle Gray and Vince Welnick.

He seemed like a nice enough guy. The band members were joking around. My friend had brought a blank piece of staff paper. When he handed it to Todd his reaction was “What this?!” to which my friend replied…”blank staff paper.” “Oh, thank God,” said Todd. “I thought you were going to ask me to look at something you wrote!”

Being a producer he must get a lot of that. ;)

I thanked him for the time and the music. I was glad to get the opportunity to do that.

I think she is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Is it a trick of the camera? Or is she really that beautiful? It’s not just physical. She just seems like someone it would be interesting to have lunch with…except that I would be speechless.

Besides the fact that he’s cool enough to go by a single name…

He has used his fame and fortune to promote and respond to global needs. He’s been a benefit to mankind. That’s a pretty lofty thing to say about someone. Yet, so many “rock stars” leverage their fame to buy better drugs, cars, and houses. Bono has leveraged his fame to help the world, and become a shining example of how a person can make a difference by using the gifts they were given.

I want to meet Stephen Hawking because I greatly admire his work, and admire how he has faced the extraordinary challenges that life has presented to him.

Amazingly, he has probably done the best job of anyone in making quantum physics and physics in general understandable to non-scientists. To me, this is a sign of greatness.

He’s truely remarkable, and for that reason alone I’d just like the opportunity to meet him.

I used to make whistles for a living. It’s a small factory in Ohio (American Whistle Corporation) that stamps out metal whistles. It’s amazing, actually how many whistles are needed in this country! Enough to keep me busy year round with 12 other employees.

Actually, this was the job that finally convinced me that I needed to finish my college degree…but that’s another story.

There was a feature article on the T-dog in Paste magazine some time ago. In the teaser to the article, the author mentions how passionate Tom was about his reading list. He gave that author a list of books he HAD to read. The author, curse him, did not include the list!

Tom, I want that list! Next time you’re in the Denver/Boulder area, look me up. I’ll take you out for some BBQ.
